March 19: A mourning procession for Iraq and Afghanistan

NYC War Resisters League invites you to join

Not One More
A Mourning Procession to Remember the Deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan and Demand an End to the Killing

Sunday March 19
Assemble at 1:00 pm; walk begins at 1:30
59th Street & Fifth Avenue
(SW corner, near the fountain)

The walk will meander through midtown and will end with a "zone of mourning" around the Times Square recruiting station
(approximately 3 pm).

The focus of this protest is on the ongoing killing of thousands in Iraq and Afghanistan. Signs and banners will remember the more than 100,000 civilian deaths caused by this illegal war. Pictures will show the pain of loss and injury in Iraq. The walk with be solemn, with a steady drumbeat, possibly a mournful bagpipe. The zone of mourning in Times Square will be a time to pause and remember -
and to cry out "Not One More."

This walk is un-permitted, walking two-by-two on the sidewalk.
