Dennis Berger Presente!

We're going to a memorial tomorrow (Sat.) for our friend and comrade Dennis Berger. I have not written anything about Dennis and his death because I've had a hard time getting my head around his no longer being here. No one I know better represented John Donne's famous Elegy than Dennis,
No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, We are the less. .... Any one's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
Dennis's death definitely diminishes all of us.

I'll try to say more after the memorial.
